Professor Zhang Zijian pointed out that business majors are the preferred majors for Chinese students studying in Canada. Especially actuarial and accounting major. According to Canadian media reports, during the 2008 financial tsunami, 25 top hedge fund managers around the world still raked in nearly $11.6 billion, attracting many students to apply for actuarial education in order to get as close as possible to this career dream. According to many market research companies, actuaries and financial engineers from all over the world are business-related professions. Because of their high professional requirements and shortage of qualified personnel, their salaries are very high, and they will soar all the way. It is reported that the average annual salary of fresh graduates of accounting major in North America can reach 45,000 US dollars. At the same time, the graduates of accounting major are also one of the fastest Canadian immigration applications.

2. Sociology

Zhang Zijian pointed out that sociology is a very cold major for many Chinese students, but in fact, it is very popular in Canada. Many local people like to choose this major, so the threshold is very high. Employment prospects are very good, such as social function departments, government agencies, research centers and so on. At the same time, in Canada, if you want to study law and other professional liberal arts majors, you must obtain a Bachelor of Arts in sociology before you have the opportunity to apply.
